Mussel boat Combarro

If there’s a place where the sea blends with Galician tradition, it’s Combarro. From its harbor, we’ll set sail to enjoy a unique experience: a boat trip with underwater vision through the Pontevedra estuary.

As the boat gently glides over the water, you’ll be able to observe the seabed and discover the marine life hidden beneath the surface. Fish, seaweed, and mussel beds will accompany us along the way.

Throughout the journey, we’ll see the bateas, the wooden platforms typical of the Galician estuaries where mussels, oysters, and scallops are farmed. We’ll tell you all about how they’re cultivated and why Galician seafood is considered some of the best in the world.

On the horizon, the island of Tambo will appear—a small islet full of history. From the boat, we’ll admire its lighthouse, with its striking spiral staircase, and learn about the ancient settlements that once occupied the island.

And of course, we’ll finish our tour with a tasting of freshly cooked mussels, paired with a glass of Galician wine or a soft drink. A delicious experience to savor the essence of the Rías Baixas before returning to the port of Combarro.
